In FL Studio I simply select all notes and move the whole chunk. Now, selecting ALL the notes in the melody, I want to move the whole thing exactly 1 bar forwards. The timing is not perfect but it grooves very nicely. Lets say I've played in a little melody from my midi keyboard. I can not wrap my head around how the snapping should work or how I can configure it to be as simple as I want it. This is not happening at all when Reaper is at it's default settings.
All I want is for the note to have relative snap, and slavishly snap TO THE GRID. My biggest gripe is the way notes snap to whatever random thing on screen. I've really really tried to start liking the Reaper piano-roll but so far I only get extremely frustrated.
